Minnesota Vikings (2-5) defeat the Green Bay Packers (5-2) behind a monster 4TD game from Dalvin Cook. He finished with 30 carries, 163 yards, 3 touchdowns on the ground and 1 receiving touchdown. The Packers had no answer for Cook as he ran all over Green Bays defense. Things started a back and forth battle between the two teams going score for score. They tied 14-14 at halftime and by the start of the second half, the Vikings figured out Cook was their recipe to success. The Packers offense hit a huge snag. Aaron Rodgers went 27/41, 291 yards and 3 touchdowns. Davante Adams had all 3 Packer touchdowns and usually, that’s more than enough to secure a Green Bay victory, but today the Vikings defense came to play especially their young secondary who held all other Packer receivers in check. Kurt Cousins had an efficient day going 11/14, 160 yards, with 1 touchdown, and zero turnovers. Credit to the Vikings for holding their own, with Rodgers having the ball in his hands to potentially end the game on a winning touchdown pass in the final seconds they came up with a huge sack to complete the victory.
