UConn’s first half was near perfect, scoring a season-high 51. The team shot almost 58% from the field and 44% from three. R.J. Cole scored only 1 point but dished out 6 first-half assists. That alone was six times Georgetown’s single first-half team assist.

Jalen Gaffney led UConn in bench scoring, putting up 15. He did not miss a shot from the floor. Whaley also had a perfect shooting night, as the two combined for 11-11, with 4 threes.
One of the few bright spots for Georgetown was Jahvon Blair. He scored 18 second-half points, putting up 22 overall. He helped cut into UConn’s deficit, as the team went on multiple 7-0 runs. Every one of Georgetown’s punches was countered, and the team never put together any real momentum.
