Warriors Had Curry’s Back
Steph Curry was uncharacteristically cold at Chase Center. After dominating for four-straight games, he only scored 16 points while shooting 0-of-9 from deep.
However, the other Warriors stepped up for the all-star guard. Andrew Wiggins nearly duplicated his game 4 performance with 26 points and 13 rebounds.
“It’s just attacking the rim,” Wiggins said. “I got it going early and I got into that mindset of staying aggressive and I just kept attacking.”
Klay Thompson had a great game with 21 points while shooting 7-of-14 from the field and 5-of-11 from deep.
What really helped the Warriors out this game was the defensive end.
Boston had 18 turnovers and overwhelmed Boston all game and the Warriors scored 22 points off of those turnovers.
Jaylen Brown was held to 18 points while shooting 5-of-18 from the field. Jayson Tatum had 27 points and 10 rebounds but had four turnovers.
“We’re here, we want this, and we’re hungry,” Wiggins said when asked about the Warriors’ message to the Celtics.
