The Pittsburgh Steelers improved to 10-0 on Sunday afternoon, defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars and continuing to find ways to win week after week with their outstanding defensive play.
Jacksonville scored on a 41-yard field goal to go up 3-0 in the first quarter. Unfortunately, that was the only lead and points the Steelers defense would allow. They made it a rough outing for the Jags quarterback Jake Luton who threw for 151 yards and four interceptions and completed only 16 of 37 passes, while running back James Robinson added 70 yards on the ground. was all Jacksonville had to offer.
The Steelers started things off with a 44-yard field goal and never looked back as rookie wide receiver Chase Claypool caught a 31-yard pass from Ben Roethlisberger for a touchdown to take a 10-3 lead.
Pittsburgh then capitalized off an interception from Luton to score a 1-yard touchdown from running back Benny Snell Jr., going up 17-3 to end the first half.
Following an interception by both quarterbacks, the game took on a theme of back and forth punts to start the second half before the Steelers would score on a 47-yard field goal from Chris Boswell in the fourth quarter; now leading 20-3, Jacksonville would again turn the ball over off an interception.
Roethlisberger would connect with his tight end Eric Ebron for a 20-yard touchdown pass to seal the game.
