BUFFALO, NY – In the first Rampage installment of the Grand Slam Tournament of Champions, Darby Allin and Sammy Guevara face off to see who gets one step closer to the AEW World Championship. Dax Harwood challenges Claudio Castagnoli in the main event for the ROH World Championship.

Darby Allin vs. Sammy Guevara – Grand Slam Tournament of Champions

Allin takes Guevara down for a quick two-count. With Guevara in the corner, Allin Coffin Splashes until Guevara hits back with an enziguri. Guevara chops Allin and places him on the top rope for a superplex, but Guevara doesn’t let go, hitting a second from the mat. Stopping Guevara before a third, Allin takes Guevara outside the ring.

Allin’s tope is caught by Guevara and countered with a cutter on the outside. Taking too long to capitalize on the move, Guevara throws Allin back in the ring for a one count. Allin avoids Guevara’s shooting star press, taking the opportunity to hit a Code Red and pin Guevara for two.

After nearly losing his balance, Guevara hits a cutter off the top rope, pinning Allin for two. He tries to put the nail in the coffin with Allin’s Coffin Drop, but Allin moves out of the way. Allin climbs to the top for a proper Coffin Drop, but Anna Jay distracts the referee long enough for Guevara to land a low blow and powerbomb on top of Allin’s skateboard. After a GTH, Guevara successfully pins Allin. Guevara moves on to the next round of the AEW World Championship Tournament, where he will face Jon Moxley next week.

Madison Rayne vs. Serena Deeb

Deeb picks Rayne’s ankle, but before she finds herself stuck in a hold, Rayne up kicks. Deeb tries to regain the upper hand with a Deebtox, but Rayne counters it and pins Deeb for two. The fact Rayne countered the Deebtox surprises Deeb and sets her off, causing her to lay into Rayne.

With a swinging neckbreaker, Deeb covers Rayne for another two count. After more taunts by Deeb, Rayne rolls her up. Looking for the Serenity Lock, Deeb switches her game plan midway through and goes for the arm and leg catcher hold, leading her to the submission win as Rayne taps out.

Claudio Castagnoli (C) vs. Dax Harwood – Ring of Honor World Championship

Castagnoli puts Harwood in a side headlock before tackling him to the ground for a quick pin. Harwood attempts a leapfrog, but Castagnoli catches him and brings him back to the mat. Harwood inside cradles Castagnoli for one. The two men trade chops and European Uppercuts. Backing up against the ropes, Castagnoli sends himself and Harwood flying over the top. Harwood hits his back hard on the apron and Castagnoli doesn’t land much better on the floor, leaving both men down.

On the top rope, Harwood chops and elbow strikes Castagnoli to the mat before hitting a diving headbutt for a near fall. When Castagnoli looks for the Neutralizer, Harwood hits him with a piledriver in the center of the ring for two.

Back up on the top rope, Castagnoli stops Harwood from landing a diving headbutt by catching him with an uppercut. Superplexing Harwood, Castagnoli earns a near fall. Harwood takes notes from Castagnoli and alternates between uppercuts and chops before landing a backslide for two.

Harwood counters Castagnoli’s crossbody into a roll-through for another near fall. Castagnoli hammers in uppercuts before swinging Harwood. Locking in the sharpshooter, Castagnoli tries to switch holds to stop Harwood from reaching the ropes. The time it takes to change holds gives Harwood enough time to catch Castagnoli in the sharpshooter. Fighting his way out of the hold, Castagnoli delivers the BCC elbow strikes before forcing Harwood to tap out for the win.

Wednesday on Dynamite, the Grand Slam Tournament of Champions continues with semi-final matches between Blackpool Combat Club and the Jericho Appreciation Society. In an All Out rematch, Bryan Danielson takes on former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho. And Jon Moxley gets his hands on Sammy Guevara.
