Packers beat Eagles 30 – 16

GREEN BAY, Wis — — Aaron Jones rushed for 130 yards and sealed the game with a 77-yard breakaway touchdown with 2:36 left in the game as the Green Bay Packers (9-3) defeat the Philadelphia Eagles(3-8-1) 30-16 on Sunday afternoon.

The Packers got off to a slow start. Still, they picked it up quickly in the second quarter as Rodgers threw two touchdown passes, giving Green Bay a 14-3 lead at halftime. They kept it rolling in the third quarter as Rodgers hooked up with Davante Adams for another touchdown pass, Making it two on the day for the quarterback-receiver duo giving the Packers QB his third touchdown overall.

Green Bay had a 23-3 lead in the fourth quarter before the Eagles quickly scored two touchdowns in just over a minute. Rookie quarterback Jalen Hurts took over for Carson Wentz, who couldn’t get the offense in a rhythm midway through the third quarter. Hurts started by throwing a 32-yard touchdown pass to Greg Ward on a fourth-and-18. Jalen Reagor delivered a 73-yard punt return to cut the lead to 23-16 with 6:30 left. Jake Elliot missed the extra point.

The Eagles forced two straight three-and-outs before having to punt after failing to move the ball on offense. Then Jones ran the ball through a massive hole up the middle away from an attempted ankle tackle, racing down the left side, avoiding two defenders inside Philadelphia’s 30-yard line, getting blocks from his receivers to help Jones run in for the score.

On a night where it was more than just a win for the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers got the 400th touchdown pass of his career, becoming the fastest to do it with only 193 games.

Rodgers went 25 of 34 for 295 yards and three touchdowns, one of those being a 25-yard pass to Robert Tonyan in the second quarter.

Adams, who caught ten passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns. This March 7 Street game that Adams has scored tying Hall of Famer Don Hudson’s franchise record.

Hurts was 5 of 12 for 109 yards, one interception, and one touchdown. Wentz was 6 of 15 for 79 yards.
