NFL Preseason is Here! Three Things to Watch Out For

Date:

After a six-month hiatus, the NFL preseason is finally here! Here are three things to watch out for throughout the preseason.

New Look for the Broncos Offense

After multiple years of searching for elite quarterbacks, the Denver Broncos have finally acquired one in Russell Wilson.

Wilson is a veteran who has proved that he can take a team to the Super Bowl twice and helped the Seattle Seahawks stay competitive during his 10 seasons in that franchise.

Meanwhile, the Broncos haven’t cracked the top 10 in offensive ranking since 2014, and Denver’s need for the quarterback position became exacerbated after Peyton Manning’s retirement from the league.

Although it’s a small amount of time that sports fans will see the starting offense on the field, it’s important to watch out for how the Broncos will look on the offensive side of the ball.

This will be the first appearance of a rebranded Washington team, the Commanders.

With the rebranded name, will the team shift to a new culture: one that isn’t riddled with controversies?

Part of that rebranding has to do with image; how will the players look? Besides the new uniforms, how will the team perform throughout the preseason?

Will they show more progress or will there be more things for their fans to worry about?

Cincinnati’s Return

The Cincinnati Bengals already have a team that’s constructed to make it back to the Super Bowl.

That brings the question: new element will fans see from this team?

Spectators can expect a serving size of the Joe Burrow-Ja’Marr Chase connection, only time will tell if their chemistry be strong, or will there be a dip in production from either stars?

One thing to look out for is their defense, specifically Eli Apple.

Apple played with fantastic results for the Bengals, but in spite of that he does need some work in coverage. What comes to mind for many was that he gets beat in coverage against great receivers, something that was on display for all during the Super Bowl.

He needs to show that he is a shutdown corner because he is susceptible for being the most targeted on the field.
