Mark Breland, no longer a part of Deontay Wilder’s team

Date:

Mark Breland, who has been Deontay Wilder’s chief #2 the duration of his professional career, will not be a part of Team Wilder’s camp, as he prepares for his trilogy versus WBC and lineal heavyweight champion: Tyson Fury. Breland, threw in the towel during the Wilder vs Fury II bout in late February of this year. Both Wilder and chief #1 trainer, Jay Deas were upset at Breland for doing so.

This development will increase the hype surrounding this bout. Former P4P king, Floyd Mayweather has publicly offered to assist Wilder in reclaiming his title. In June, Tyson Fury was even quoted as saying that if Wilder and Breland won’t be working together, then “he (Breland) will have a job with the Gypsy King (Fury)”. Fury-Wilder III was recently scheduled for December 19th but that date was not able to be kept because of NCAA and NFL football scheduling.
