CHICAGO, IL- Grayson Allen, Jrue Holiday, and Giannis Antetokounmpo combined for 85 points to lead the Milwaukee Bucks to a 119-95 win over the Chicago Bulls.
The Bucks had a 23-14 lead with 2:31 left in the first quarter. That’s when Zach LaVine led the Bulls on a 8-2 run to close out the quarter.
He found a groove and scored 12 points. The Bucks entered the second quarter with a 25-22 lead.
The Bucks outscored the Bulls in the second quarter, 31-19. Grayson Allen had another strong start with 16 points in the first half. The Bucks entered halftime with a 56-41 lead.
The Bucks opened the third quarter with a 9-2 run to take a 22-point lead. However, Chicago responded with an 11-0 run to cut their deficit to 11 points with 7:41 left in the third quarter.
Milwaukee countered with an 11-0 run to have a 79-60 lead over Chicago. Milwaukee entered the fourth quarter with a 90-64 lead.
The Bucks outscored the Bulls 29-21 to win the game by 24 points and to take a 3-1 series lead over Chicago.
Bucks Continue To Dominate
The Bulls have struggled defensively against Milwaukee.
Chicago has allowed the Bucks to shoot 45-of-86 (52.3%) from the field and 17-of-33 (51.5%) from deep. The Bucks also took advantage of scoring in the paint with 44 points.
Antetokounmpo had a double-double with 32 points and 17 rebounds. He also shot 11-of-22 (50.0%) from the field.
Grayson Allen had another great game off the bench for Milwaukee with 27 points while shooting 10-of-12 (83.3%) from the field and 6-of-7 (85.7%) from deep.
Jrue Holiday followed with 26 points and seven assists.
“I got to trust my teammates,” said Antetokounmpo. “I know what the deal is. I know they are going to make shots, that they are going to make plays, so I just got to trust them.”
He continued.
“When you move the ball, the ball has energy,” he said. “When everybody touches it, everybody has energy. Everybody can make plays and everybody can play great. So, we’ve been playing great.”
Zach LaVine led Chicago in scoring with 24 points and 13 assists. Demar DeRozan scored 23 points and Patrick Williams had 20 points and 10 rebounds.
Unfortunately, the Bulls are in a tough predicament as they would have to win three-straight games in order to win the series.
