NEW YORK CITY – James Harden, Tyrese Maxey, and Joel Embiid 87 combined for points in a 125-109 Philadelphia 76ers (37-26) win against the New York Knicks (25-26).
The Harden-Embiid-Maxey trio dominated against a Knicks squad that has struggled throughout the season. Joel Embiid led the trio and all scorers with 37 points while shooting 7-of-18 (38.9%) from the field. He also set career-highs in free-throw attempts (27) and makes (23).
James Harden became the first 76ers player since Allen Iverson to have 15 points and 10 rebounds in a single half. He finished the game with 29 points, 16 assists, 10 rebounds and five steals while shooting 8-of-14 (57.1%) from the field and 3-of-7 (43%) from the three-point line.

Knicks Woes
The Knicks continued to struggle this season, losing nine of their last eleven games.
Free throws have continued to plague New York. They rank No. 25 in the league in free-throw shooting percentage (75.1%). Against the Sixers, they finished the game shooting 22-of-35 (62.9%) from the free-throw line, including shooting 7-of-14 (50%) in the first quarter.
That has been a trend in their losses, and it has affected everyone. In the Knicks’ previous game against the Heat, they shot 26-of-36 (72.2%) from the free-throw line. That included RJ Barrett who scored 46 points but missed eight of his season-high 22 free throws.
They were also inefficient from three-point range, shooting 11-of-33 (33.3%) from deep.
Post-Harden 76ers
Philadelphia has been on fire lately, winning five of their last six games. To no one’s surprise, their offensive production has increased with the addition of James Harden. Harden has only played two games so far for Philadelphia and hasn’t disappointed.
Philadelphia is 26-7 when scoring more than 106.7 points. In two games with Harden, they scored 133 points against the Timberwolves and 125 points against the Knicks.
In games shooting over 44.5% from the field, New York is 31-8. They finished this game shooting 38-of-78 (48.7%) from the field and 39-of-44 (88.6%) from deep.
